SUCCESS STORY

Winton Woods City Schools just launched their new website. Designed and developed by Six Feet Up, the site is powered by the Plone open source content management system and provides visitors with information about upcoming events, recent announcements, as well as information about the services of their various departments. Each school has their own sub-site and offers parents more specific information about their activities and philosophies.

In typical Zope style, ZODB 3.8 has been released with little to no fan fare and no information about it on the Zope.org site.

This is the only reference I found to this long awaited release.  The big thing we will want to pay attention to in this release is the new addition of blobstorage into it.  Now doing large media files can be  easy with Zope!

The Plone application Blob includes usage of  this new feature and includes a migrator that will inplace migrate ATFile based types to use the new blob storage.  This is a huge win for the Zope/Plone community, and it is too bad it is so poorly publicized!

Technologies We Use
Big Picture

FREE FOR ALL

Why pay expensive fees for proprietary systems? We integrate and expand free open source software.

ONCE IS ENOUGH

Instead of reinventing the wheel, we leverage what has already been implemented, and cut your costs down.

ONE SIZE RARELY FITS ALL

Once the right tool has been identified for you, we can customize it to your exact needs.

WHAT MATTERS MOST

We strive to follow best practices and implement standards, ensuring project scalability & upgradability.

LESSON LEARNED

Manual tests are expensive and error-prone. Automated tests are the keystone of software quality.

ALL TOGETHER

We engage our clients and keep them in the loop from design to deployment.
